I’m not a huge Photoshopper…meaning I don’t like to heavily edit photos in Photoshop. But, in there the interest of branching out and trying new things in the realm of photography, I have taken a couple courses in Photoshop editing-specifically relating to “magical” Photoshop edits that you would see primarily in children’s portrait photography. I don’t thing I will ever feel like I have 100% “arrived” (just the perfectionist in me combined with the fact that I’m my own worst critic), but I had a lot of fun with this edit!
The moon was so big and bright last night, and my son was ecstatic. We’ve been talking about the moon a lot lately, and so to have it seen so “close” was a real treat for him. I decided to pull out my camera and take a few shots, and as I took pictures of the moon and of my son, I started to create a composite image in my mind. I was able to sit down today and do some Photoshop magic, and for this being the first time that I tried my hand at this type of edit, I’m actually quite pleased with how it turned out! Is this something that I’m officially offering clients at this moment? Probably not, but it is something that I am considering adding to my photo packages in the future.
